September 2015

Late summer greetings from Yoga Sivananda! As the tomatoes begin to ripen and the sunset comes earlier it is time to look ahead to yoga programs this Fall.

New Yoga Centre Opening

As you are aware, on May 31st we closed the space at 745, chemin Aylmer, our home for the past 7 of our 13 years in Aylmer. Over the summer months we have encouraged a dedicated group of long-time students and teachers to carry the centre forward. This is a very exciting and long-awaited development.

Yoga Sivananda Aylmer, the new group, opens its doors in mid September. The goal and intention is to offer a full range of yoga activities in the Sivananda tradition including hatha yoga classes, special courses, workshops, and satsangs. It is located on the main floor in the Maison Bruyere (formerly The Convent) off of Eardley Road in Old Aylmer. Watch for the launch of the website at www.ysa.life to check class schedules and register on-line.

Fall Registration at the Maison Bruyere, 57 rue du Couvent
Thursday Sept 10th , 7 – 9 p.m. AND Saturday Sept 12, 12 – 2 p.m.

To see class schedule and for on-line registration with paypal, visit the website at www.ysa.life

First class to open the Fall session – this will be a donation class open to everyone including beginners – Saturday, September 12 – 9:30 a.m. with Arjuna

For more information or to volunteer some time and get in on the excitement of helping with the opening of this brand new adventure, you can phone 819-684-3192. For email please contact us at yoga.sivananda.aylmer@outlook.com A warm welcome awaits you.

For Arjuna and Kumari this is a much anticipated new direction for Sivananda yoga in the region. After over 30 years of active teaching we are shifting more and more now into meeting the requests for teacher trainings, yoga therapy trainings, and retreats. We are accepting longer commitments as karma yogis in the Sivananda Ashrams, particularly the in the Bahamas and at the Yoga Camp Ashram in the Laurentians. As well, we are feeling the call to devote longer periods of time to our personal practices.

Yoga Sivananda Aylmer will keep the teachings alive and well on an on¬going basis while Arjuna and Kumari offer short courses and programs throughout the year. It is time to pass the administrative mandate to others and we welcome this change.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you in September.

12 years of yoga in Aylmer
Sivananda Yoga has changed my life. It really has. I find it comforting there are people like you, who give so much of themselves to help bring others a few steps closer to that divine place, where a person may realize peace exists within one's self, and begin to view the world from the inside out, rather than from the outside in.
