RAJA YOga (Yoga of the Mind)
Raja Yoga is the natural complement to Hatha Yoga practices. The 8 steps of Raja yoga are:
Yamas , Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara (control of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (Meditation), and Samadhi (the attainment of supraconcious states).
Each week of this very special course will focus on 1 yama or niyama (observances and disciplines) and 1 of the other 8 steps. Course material will be drawn from Swami Vishnu's Meditation & Mantras as well as the Raja Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It will be taught by the centre's senior teacher, Arjuna.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in understanding the finer workings of the mind. It is especially recommended for serious yoga practitioners (anyone practicing Hatha Yoga at least twice a week). It will deepen & enliven your regular yoga practice and take you to the next level.
