Satsang Every 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month
Guided Meditation Practice
SATSANG is a group gathering to practice meditation and to study various aspects of yoga and yoga philosophy. A silent, guided meditation period is followed by KIRTAN, the singing of chants and mantras. Yoga philosophy is studied through uplifting readings or lectures.

Calming Panic & Anxiety
This 2-part workshop provides practical step-by-step guidelines for what to do when anxiety rises and panic overwhelms. Participants will learn and practice a series of simple and extremely effective steps for calming anxiety. A visualization / imagery exercise will be experienced in both parts A & B.. Each workshop ends with a deeply rejuvenating guided relaxation period. A handout for home reference and practice is available.

Back Care Workshop
This workshop brings a three-fold approach to improving the condition of your back:
1) Alleviate acute symptoms
2) Strengthen and stabilize
3) Maintain a healthy spine and back
You will take home a complete 10-minutes/day home back-care practice.Handout included.
You will also learn to distinguish symptoms from causes and take home tools to heal your symptoms at their source cause.

Focus on Headstand Class
The regular Wednesday 8 p.m. class will be adapted on this day to include a focus on learning the headstand.All level 2 and 3 students are strongly encouraged to attend class to have a thorough introduction or review of this amazing posture.
Demonstration of the basic pose as well as variations.
Discussion of the benefits of Sirshasan pose.
Assisted practice of the posture.
Come and have some fun.

Group Yoga Therapy Adapted Classes
Register for a series or by the individual class (drop-in)
Adapted Yoga - Monday 5:15-6:15 p.m. January 30 - February 27
This class offers a highly personalized approach in a small group context. It is especially ideal for persons with particular needs: anxiety & panic, back conditions, chronic muscle pain and fatigue, arthritis, injury, illness recovery, etc.
It is recommended that participants first receive 1 - 3 private classes to set up an appropriate personal programme which is then integrated into the group class.
Level I - Wednesday 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.. Starts February 1 for 5 weeks
Level I adapts the classical yoga postures to accomodate particular needs. Learn how to modify the yoga poses to allow a comfortable and enjoyable practice regardless of your body's starting point.
It can be helpful to receive 1 - 3 private classes to fully address your particular needs. Often we only need to modify a few poses which you then incorporate into your regular yoga class. Sometimes the body simply needs a more gentle approach to movement and postures.

The following are some of the options available:
Yoga Therapy - your individual needs are assessed and a personlized practice designed just for you. The tools used are yoga exercises, breath work, and relaxation methods.
Energy Medicine - particularly effective when our energetic body (pranamaya kosha) and/or mind body (manomaya kosha) need centering, rooting, grounding and steadying. The emotions and thoughts may be out of control or stuck. You may feel drained or lack enthusiasm for life. You may experience moments of high anxiety or panic.
Chakra balancing, aura cleansing, Great Fire Light healing, Plant energetics, vortex clearing and healing ceremonies are a few options.
Theta Healing - We have 4 levels of beliefs: conditioning from our present life experiences, genetic encoding passed through DNA, past life experiences, soul memory. Most of our beliefs are usually carried in our subconsious mind. Yet they influence everything we think, say and do, often in very negative and limiting ways. Theta healing pulls beliefs that you have outgrown and allows you to create healthy, healed and positive new agreements with yourself. Theta healing also allows you to transform negative emotional patterns into life-affirming feelings.
Sound Healing - Sound speaks directly to your body and reminds it of its original state of perfect harmony. Different frequencies of sound can heal every layer and level of your being: physical, emotional, mental, soul and spirit.
- Drumming steadies the heart and connects us to the natural rhythms of life. Modern lifestyles often lack rhythm and we feel lost, drifting, wanting, searching, yearning, longing ...

- Bij mantras are 'seed' sounds produced by the voice. In proper combination they restore harmony. They work on a very subtle level.
